Whatever you do, don’t touch the floor.

That’s because the floor is lava. Hot Lava, to be precise, as Klei Entertainment mercilessly mines our collective childhood memories for its new game. Aren’t there ever any original ideas any more?

The developer is best known for the likes of ShankDon’t Starve, and Invisible, Inc., but for their first attempt at a 3D title they’ve gone way back “to your childhood imagination,” for a game of “treacherous obstacles” (hot lava).

It pretty much goes without saying that I’ll be playing this, because the floor is lava and you can’t touch the floor, guys. You can sign up for the PC beta from the game’s site, and get busy imagining all the Community crossover potential in the meantime.
